Chris Weikel’s Penny Penniworth to Return Off-Broadway in September

Chris Weikel’s Penny Penniworth, will return for an Off-Broadway engagement at TADA Theatre, on September 8. Mark Finley will once again direct.

Emerging Artists Theatre presents this spoof of Charles Dickens’ works, which imagines a short-staffed theater troupe trying to bring a “lost” Dickens novel to the stage. The comedy was seen at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2003, and played at TADA earlier this season.

The cast will again feature Christopher Borg, Jamie Heinlein, Jason O’Connell, and Ellen Reilly. The creative team includes costume designer Goody, lighting designer Jennifer Granrud, scenic designer Tim McMath, composer Peter Saxe and sound designer Aaron Blank.
