Bailey Hanks, Briana Carlson-Goodman, et al. Set for Speargrove Presents Musical

Bailey Hanks, Kristin Huffman, Briana Carlson-Goodman, and Timothy J. Alex will star in the original musical Speargrove Presents, to be presented by New York Theatre Barn at the Julia Miles Theatre, on Monday, April 5 at 8pm. Joe Barros and Laura Brandel will co-direct.

The musical is based on a famous incident that made headlines nationwide. It examines what transpires when a small town in Texas with conservative values tries to quash the local high school’s production of Rent. The musical features a book by Sammy Buck and songs by Daniel S. Acquisto, Barbara Anselmi, Sammy Buck, Michele Brourman, Sam Carner, Joshua H. Cohen, Brian Feinstein, Derek Gregor, Brandon James Gwinn, Will Larche, Sheilah Rae, Charlie Sohne & Sam Willmott.

The cast will also include Kai Chapman, Sarah Cooney, Kendal Hartse, Michael Mahany, Kilty Reidy, Tina Stafford, and Hernando Umana. The creative team will include musical direction Lilli Wosk, music dupervisor Sam Willmott, and orchestrations by Sam Willmott & Oran Eldor.

The performance celebrates the not-for-profit company’s third anniversary and is part of a gala fundraising evening that includes pre and post show receptions.
