Woody Allen, Dan Fogler, Conor McPherson, et al. to Be Represented at Tribeca Film Festival

A full line-up has been announced for theTribeca Film Festival, which will run in various venues in New York, April 22-May 3.

The Eclipse, a new film written and directed by playwright Conor McPherson, will make its world premiere at the festival. The film, which stars Ciaran Hinds, Aidan Quinn, and Iben Hejejle, tells the story of a widower whose life converges with a pair of authors.

Quinn will also join Jamey Sheridan, Campbell Scott, and John Savage in Bette Gordon’s Handsome Harry, which will also premiere at the festival. Sheridan plays the title role, a former sailor who decides to deal with his past.

Woody Allen’s new film, Whatever Works, will open the festival on April 22, with a commercial release set for summer. The film will feature Larry David, Evan Rachel Wood, Patricia Clarkson, Kristen Johnson, Ed Begley, Jr. and Michael McKean.

Other notable selections include Easy Virtue, based on Noel Coward’s play, starring Kristin Scott Thomas, Colin Firth, Jessica Biel, and Ben Barnes, and Hysterical Psycho, a horror spoof written and directed Tony Award winner Dan Fogler.

The festival will also present restored versions of the films The Boys in the Band and Inherit the Wind.
