Spinning Into Butter Starring Sarah Jessica Parker Gets March 27 Release

The film version of Rebecca Gilman’s play Spinning Into Butter, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, will be released in New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles on Friday, March 27.

The movie is directed by Mark Brokaw, adapted by Gilman and Doug Atchison, and also stars Mykelti Williamson, Beau Bridges, Miranda Richardson, James Rebhorn, and Victor Rusuk. It focuses on a college dean (played by Parker) who is forced to examine her own feelings about race and prejudice after a hate crime occurs on her campus.

Parker’s many stage credits include Annie, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Once Upon a Mattress, The Substance of Fire, Sylvia, and Wonder of the World. She is best known for her Emmy Award-winning role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City.
