Philip Bosco, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, and More Complete Cast of Finian’s Rainbow

Casting is now complete for City Center Encores! production of Finian’s Rainbow, to run March 26-29. The production will be directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction by Rob Berman.

The show, which tells the story of the Irishman Finian McLonergan and his daughter Sharon who travel to a small Southern town in the mythical state of Missitucky with plans to bury a stolen pot of gold in the shadows of Fort Knox, in the mistaken belief it will grow and multiply, has music by Burton Lane, lyrics by E.Y. Harburg, and book by E. Y. Harburg and Fred Saidy. The score includes “How Are Things in Glocca Morra?,” “When I’m Not Near the Girl I Love (I Love the Girl I’m Near),” “That Old Devil Moon,” and “If This Isn’t Love.”

In addition to the previously announced Kate Baldwin (Sharon McLonergan), Cheyenne Jackson (Woody Mahoney), and Jim Norton (Finian McLonergan), the cast will include Jeremy Bobb (Og), Philip Bosco (Senator Rawkins), Guy Davis (Sonny), Alina Faye (Susan Mahoney), Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Billboard), Andy Weems (Sheriff), and William Youmans (Buzz).
