Casting has been announced for Urban Stages’ Reading Retrospective Series, a look back at some of the theater’s world premiere plays, presented as part of its 25th anniversary season, March 9-April 20.

The series will kick off with Chungmi Kim’s Comfort Women (March 9), to be directed by Frances Hill and featuring original cast members Tina Chen, Jade Wu, and Jo Yang along with Jessica J. Ko. James Naughton will star in Victor Cahn’s epistolary play Roses in December (March 20), followed by Guillermo Reyes’ Men on the Verge of a Hispanic Breakdown (March 23), a solo show performed by Felix Pire, who reprises his Outer Critics Award-winning role.

John Picardi’s popular comedy, The Sweepers (March 30), will be directed by Hill and reunite original cast members Brigitte Vielleau Davis, Antoinette La Vecchia, and Dana Smith. Bruce Graham’s Coyote on a Fence (April 13) will be directed by Lou Jacobs, and star Paul Sparks, who received the first of several Drama Desk nominations for his performance in the play. The series will conclude with writer/performer Eisa Davis’ Bulrusher (April 20).
