A.C.T. to Present A Conversation with José Rivera April 18

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will present A Conversation with José Rivera, an hour long interview and Q&A session with playwright José Rivera on Saturday, April 18 at 10:00 am. A.C.T. Artistic Director Carey Perloff will interview Rivera.

As part of the theater’s Koret Visiting Artist Series, Rivera will discuss his career, his process as a writer, and his work on his award-winning new play Boleros for the Disenchanted, which is set to take the stage at A.C.T. May 7-June 7. The show is a touching portrait of a Puerto Rican couple over four decades of marriage.

Rivera’s other plays include Marisol, Cloud Tectonics and References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot. He received an Academy Award nomination for his screenplay for The Motorcycle Diares.
