Lisa Kron to Star in Deb Margolin’s Time Is the Mercy of Eternity

Tony nominee Lisa Kron will star in Deb Margolin’s Time Is the Mercy of Eternity, to be presented by Six Figures Theatre Company and Purple Man Theater at the West End Theatre, April 21-May 10. Marc Stuart Weitz will direct.

The show is comprised of four short plays about the effects of love, violence, and obsession on the body and soul.

The cast will also include Curzon Dobell, Khris Lewin, and Claire Siebers. The design team will include Kerry Lee Chipman (set), Anjeanette Stokes (lighting), Elizabeth B. Carlin (costumes), Geo Wyeth (sound), and Zack Sultan (video).

Kron received a Best Actress Tony nomination for her play Well. Her solo play 2.5 Minute Ride received an Obie Award, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations, an LA Drama-Logue Award, and the GLAAD Media Award. She is a founding member of of the OBIE and Bessie Award-winning theater company the Five Lesbian Brothers.

Margolin received a1999-2000 Obie Award for Sustained Excellence of Performance. She is a founding member of Split Britches, and her plays include Three Seconds in the Key, O Yes I Will, Index to Idioms, and Critical Mass. On April 8, she will receive the Helen Merrill Established Playwright Award. Weitz is the founding artistic director of Purple Man Theater Company, and his directing credits include Days and Night: Page 121, Lines 11 & 12 and Broken Hands.
