Kelli O’Hara to Celebrate New CD With May Concerts

Kelli O’Hara will perform at two events in conjunction with the release of her first solo CD, Wonder in the World, which will be released by Ghostlight Records on May 6. The two-time Tony Award nominee will be seen in concert at Joe’s Pub at 11:30pm on Monday, May 5 and will host a performance/Q&A/CD signing at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle at 7:30pm on Monday, May 12.

The CD’s 14 selections will feature the title tune, written by and performed with Harry Connick, Jr., show tunes and standards including “Make Someone Happy,” “All the Way,” and “Fable,” pop classics including “Spooky,” “Fire and Rain,” and “And So It Goes,” a song by O’Hara’s husband, Greg Naughton, entitled “When the Sun Went Out,” and two tunes written by O’Hara.

O’Hara is currently starring as Nellie Forbush in Lincoln Center’s revival of South Pacific. She received Tony nominations for her work in The Pajama Game and The Light in the Piazza. Her other Broadway credits include Sweet Smell of Success, Dracula, and Jekyll & Hyde; her other stage credits include My Life with Albertine, Sunday in the Park with George, My Fair Lady, and Oklahoma!
