Jackson, Kritzer, Woods Join MCC’s Miscast Benefit

Cheyenne Jackson, Leslie Kritzer, and Carol Woods will join previously announced stars Faith Prince, Brian d’Arcy James, Jesse L. Martin, Kelli O’Hara, Steven Pasquale, and Patrick Wilson in Miscast 2008, a benefit for MCC Theater that will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday, March 10. Lynn Redgrave will serve as Honorary Chair for the benefit.

As in years past, Miscast 2008 will bring together the best and brightest Broadway talent as they perform songs from roles in which they would never be cast. Phil Reno serves as musical director.

This year’s event honors producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel for their commitment to bringing provocative and daring works to mainstream New York theater audiences. Richards and Frankel’s prolific work is currently represented on Broadway by August: Osage County, Spring Awakening, The Homecoming and November. All proceeds go directly to MCC’s production, play development, education and outreach programs.
