The NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program will perform the Broadway musical Working, April 12–22, at the Atlas Theatre (111 Second Avenue).
The production will be directed by Victor Pappas, with musical direction by Seth Caldwell.

Working has a book by Stephen Schwartz, based on Studs Terkel’s 1974 book of the same name, which looked at a cross-section of Americans. It features a score by Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, James Taylor, and Susan Birkenhead, and Mary Rodgers. Among its best known songs are “Millworker,” “Just a Housewife,” “If I Could’ve Been,” “Cleaning Women,” and “Fathers and Sons.”

The 1978 Broadway production played only 24 regular performances, but it did garner six Tony Award nominations, including Best Score and Best Book of a Musical. The show was recently performed at two benefit concerts, one in New York and one in Chicago, for The Actors’ Fund of America.

Working will feature Clayton Agpar, Joceyln Christensen, Christine Corpuz, Creighton James, Amanda Fulks, Don Guillory, Ben Huber, Arthur Lazalde, Kate MacCluggage, Bhavesh Patel, Karen Pittman, Christina Pumariega, David Ross, Timothy Sekk, Abe Smith, Cornelius Smith, Jennifer Thompson, and Amirh Rosario Vann. The creative team will include Sean Tribble (sets), Jen Greeke (costumes), Elizabeth Heilich (lighting), and Emily Wright (sound).

Tickets are $12/$6 for students and seniors. Reservations will be taken as of April 2 at 212-998-1921.
