MCC to Present First Musical, The Black Suits, in 2007-2008 Season

MCC Theater will present its first-ever musical, Joe Iconis and Robert Maddock’s The Black Suits, at the conclusion of its 2007-2008 season.

The show, to run May 14-June 5, 2008, focuses on Chris, who pushes forward with his dream of fronting a successful band, and his best friend John as they struggle to make changes in their lives. The pair recently won a Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Award.

Prior to that production, MCC will present the New York premiere of Grace, August 29-October 20, Mick Gordon and AC Grayling’s acclaimed play about a noted scientist an atheist who must deal with the fact that her son has decided to become a Christian minister, and Jim Knable’s Spain, January 23-March 8, about a recent divorcée who retreats into her imagination — and meets a sexy Conquistador.

MCC’s current season will conclude with Neil LaBute’s new play, In a Dark Dark House, directed by Carolyn Cantor, May 16-June 23. For more information, visit www.MCCTheater.org.
