In Darfur Will Be Presented by The Public Theater in April

The Public Theater will present a developmental production of Winter Miller’s In Darfur, a work that explores the current humanitarian crisis in Darfur, Sudan, from April 13 through 29. The production will be directed by Joanna Settle.

The piece follows an aid worker’s mission to save and protect lives, a journalist’s attempt to deliver a “Page One” story, and a Darfuri woman’s quest for safety.

On Thursday, April 26, there will be a benefit performance of In Darfur followed by a post-show discussion with actress Mia Farrow and other guests. Benefit tickets are priced at $50, and 20 percent of the cost of every ticket will be donated to organizations working on behalf of Darfur.
