Last night, Eric Bogosian’s 1987 drama Talk Radio finally made it to Broadway! At the show’s after-party at Bar Americain, Bogosian — who played the leading role of talk show host Barry Champlain in the original stage and film version — caught up with the new production’s leading man, Tony Award winner Liev Schreiber.
Also celebrating were Talk Radio co-star Peter Hermann and his gorgeous wife, Mariska Hargitay. The couple met while co-starring on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
That NBC series also co-starred the lovely Stephanie March, who plays producer Linda MacArthur in Talk Radio; she’s seen here with her husband, Bar Americain’s super-chef Bobby Flay.
The opening was attended by such luminaries as Oscar nominee Naomi Watts, Schreiber’s longtime girlfriend, with whom he’s having a baby later this year…
…Tony winner Brian Dennehy, who just finished a short run in the New York Philharmonic’s concert presentation of My Fair Lady and who begins performances next week in the Broadway revival of Inherit the Wind…
…the wonderful Natalie Portman, who has four films scheduled for release this year, including The Other Boleyn Girl…
…former Sex and the City co-star Kristin Davis with Cynthia Nixon, last year’s winner of the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for Rabbit Hole…
The great Alan Alda, who co-starred with Schreiber in the revival of Glengarry Glen Ross…
…and one of the theater world’s handsomest and most talented couples, Laila Robins and Robert Cuccioli.
The casts of Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, which now co-stars Bogosian as Captain Danny Ross, were extremely well represented at the party. Along with stars B.D. Wong, Kathryn Erbe, Richard Belzer, and Julianne Nicholson (who was with her handsome hubby, Jonathan Cake), the first-nighters included SVU star Christopher Meloni…
…Criminal Intent (and former Sex and the City) star Chris Noth…
…Criminal Intent‘s intense lead detective, Vincent D’Onofrio…
…and SVU‘s beautiful coroner Tamara Tunie, who’s also one of the producers of the Broadway hit Spring Awakening and the upcoming Broadway production of August Wilson’s Radio Golf.
On Thursday night, the Roundabout Theatre Company celebrated the opening of its Broadway revival of Prelude to a Kiss. Here’s playwright Craig Lucas, flanked by co-stars Alan Tudyk (left) and John Mahoney…
Law & Order alum: Annie Parisse, who plays the lead female role of Rita in Prelude to a Kiss.
