Four new principals will join the cast of the Broadway revival of Les Misérables beginning Tuesday, April 24: Mandy Bruno as Eponine (replacing Celia Keenan-Bolger), Ben Davis as Javert (replacing Norm Lewis), Ann Harada as Mme. Thenardier (replacing Jenny Galloway), and Max von Essen as Enjolras (replacing Aaron Lazar).

Davis has appeared on Broadway as Enjolras in the original production of Les Misérables, as Marcello in La Boheme, and as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Harada is best known for her acclaimed performance as Christmas Eve in Avenue Q. Bruno was an Emmy nominee for her role of Marina Cooper on The Guiding Light. Von Essen’s Broadway credits include Jesus Christ Superstar, Dance of the Vampires, and the original production of Les Misérables, in which he played Jean Prouvaire.

The new cast members will join Lea Salonga (Fantine), Alexander Gemignani (Valjean), Gary Beach (Thenardier), Ali Ewoldt (Cosette), and Adam Jacobs (Marius). The revival opened on November 9 for a six-month limited engagement but has extended its run through Labor Day at least. The original production is the third longest-running show in Broadway history.
