Andrea Anders, Chris Pine, Kirsten Vangsness, and Scott Wolf will star in the West Coast premiere of Neil LaBute’s Fat Pig at the Geffen Playhouse, May 5-June 10. The production will open officially on May 11; it will be directed by Jo Bonney, who helmed the play’s 2004 Off-Broadway premiere.

Fat Pig concerns Tom (Wolf), a handsome guy who falls for Helen (Vangsness), an overweight young woman and is unprepared for how horribly his co-workers Carter and Jeanie (Pine and Anders) react.

The creative team of the Geffen production includes Louisa Thompson (sets), Tina Haatainen Jones (costumes), Lap-Chi Chu (lighting), and Colbert Davis IV (sound). Bonney’s recent directorial credits include All That I Will Ever Be, subUrbia, A Soldier’s Play, and The Seven.

Anders has been seen on Broadway in The Graduate and Proof, and she is a star of the CBS series The Class. Pine recently starred Off-Broadway in The Atheist; his film credits include Smokin’ Aces and Princess Diaries II. Vangsness has been seen on stage in Mulholland Christmas Carol and Book of Liz. Wolf’s many stage credits include Side Man, Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme, and Dead End; his television credits include regular roles on Everwood and Party of Five.
