Obie-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant and playwright Kia Corthron will be among the participants at Theatres Against War’s (THAW) 3rd Anniversary of the War event, to take place at 7pm on Sunday, March 19 at PS 122 (150 First Avenue).

During this free event, which marks the third anniversary of the Iraq war, more than 15 artists will share short excerpts of pro-peace performances created by THAW over the past three years. In addition to Chalfant and Corthron, participants include David Cote, Alec Duffy, Karen Malpede, Howard Pflanzer, and Milos Raikovich.

Rounding out the evening programs will be excerpts from the plays What I Heard About Iraq, an adaptation of Eliot Weinberger’s article by Simon Levy, and Clay McLeod Champman’s new play junta high, which is currently playing at PS 122. That show is about a high school for terrorists where cheerleaders double as suicide bombers.
