Kimmel Center Announces 2006-2007 Broadway Season

The national tour of Monty Python’s Spamalot and the West End hits I Can’t Stop Loving You and Edward Scissorhands will be among the shows presented as part of the Kimmel Center’s 2006-2007 season at the Academy of the Arts.

The season will kick off with I Can’t Stop Loving You, a dance-oriented musical set to the songs of the great Ray Charles (September 26-October 21). Also set are Matthew Bourne’s Edward Scissorhands, based on the Tim Burton film and featuring a score by Academy Award winner Danny Elfman (January 16-21), and the Spamalot tour, starring Michael Siberry as King Arthur (March 20-25).

Other theater highlights will include the upcoming national tour of Pippin (dates to be announced), The Beatles Experience performed by the group Rain (January 4-7), and productions of Annie (March 1-4) and Riverdance (May 15-20).
