George Wendt will appear with Richard Thomas in the national tour of the Roundabout Theater Company’s production of Twelve Angry Men, scheduled to kick off on September 19 at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven. The 30-week tour will then play a host of different cities, including Washington D.C (at the Kennedy Center), Baltimore, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Miami, and Philadelphia.

As at the Roundabout, the show will be directed by Scott Ellis and the design team includes Allen Moyer (sets), Michael Krass (costumes), Paul Palazzo (lights), and Brian Ronan (sound).

Wendt will play Juror #1. He was last seen on Broadway in Art and is well known for his role of Norm Peterson on the long-running TV sitcom Cheers. Thomas will be Juror #8, the role played by Boyd Gaines in the Roundabout’s Broadway production and by Henry Fonda in the famed movie version of Twelve Angry Men; he most recently appeared on Broadway in the Roundabout’s A Naked Girl on the Appian Way.
