The spring schedule of performances at the Café Carlyle has changed. Eartha Kitt, who was supposed to play the room for four weeks beginning on April 4, will instead appear sometime in June. The popular cabaret singer Mary Cleere Haran will take the April dates. Details on Haran’s show will be announced shortly.

After Haran’s run, Maria Friedman — star of the London and Broadway productions of The Woman in White — will play her third engagement at the Carlyle, May 2-June 3. That show will coincide with the release of her new Sony Classical CD, Now and Then.

Friedman was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall, just as The Woman in White began previews on Broadway. She took two short absences from the show for treatment and bowed out of some matinee performances. The musical closed in mid-February after 109 regular performances and 20 previews.
