Clark, Gemignani, Gruber, and Reichard to Salute Charles Strouse

Victoria Clark, Alexander Gemignani, Michael Gruber, and Daniel Reichard will star in the American Musical Projects’ annual benefit concert, Applause for Golden Boy: The Music of Charles Strouse, to be held at 6:30pm on Monday, March 27 at the New York Historical Society.

Strouse, who is the composer of such shows as Bye Bye Birdie, Applause, Annie, and Rags, will be on hand for the event. The evening will be directed by Scott Alan Evans.

Clark is currently starring as Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza, for which she won the 2005 Tony Award. Gemignani is currently playing The Beadle in the revival of Sweeney Todd. Gruber has starred on Broadway in A Chorus Line, Cats, and Swing! Reichard is currently playing Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit the American Musicals Project, which exposes seventh and eighth graders in over 400 schools to musical theater. Tickets range from $75-$500 (including both a pre- and post-performance reception). To order tickets, call 212-485-9276.
