The Broadway revival of Herman Wouk’s The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial will play a limited engagement at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre rather than the Lyceum Theatre, as had been previously announced. Performances are still scheduled to begin on April 14, and the show is still set to open officially on May 7. Jerry Zaks will direct the production.

No specific reason was given for the move, but producer Jeffrey Richards noted that the show originally opened at the Schoenfeld (then called the Plymouth) in 1954. It was announced yesterday that the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line will begin performances at the Schoenfeld on September 18.

The cast of The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial includes David Schwimmer (Lt. Barney Greenwald), Zeljko Ivanek (Capt. Philip Queeg), Tim Daly (Lt. Com. John Challee), Terry Beaver (Capt. Blakely), Murphy Guyer (Capt. Southard), Brian Reddy (Dr. Forrest Lundeen), and Ben Fox (Lt. Willis Keith). Two more cast members were announced this week: Geoffrey Nauffts will play Lt. Thomas Keefer, and Joe Sikora will play Lt. Stephen Maryk. Nauffts was last seen on Broadway in A Few Good Men. Sikora, who will make his Broadway debut in this production, has been seen regionally in Killer Joe and House and Garden.

The production’s design team includes John Lee Beatty (sets), Wiliam Ivey Long (costumes), Paul Gallo (lighting), and Dan Moses Schreier (sound).
