Brent Barrett and Anthony Crivello will alternate in the title role of The Phantom of the Opera in the Las Vegas production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, which will begin performances in June at a new theater that is being built inside the Venetian Resort/Hotel/Casino. The $40 million theater was designed by the noted architect and set designer David Rockwell.

Two of the show’s other lead roles have also been double-cast for this production: Sierra Boegges and Elizabeth Loyacano will alternate as Christine, while Elena Jeanne Batman and Geena Jeffries will take turns as opera diva Carlotta. The company includes Tim Martin Gleason as Raoul, Rebecca Spencer as Madame Giry, and Larry Wayne Morbitt as Piangi. Like many other Broadway shows that have played Vegas, Phantom will be cut down to a running time of only 95 minutes.

Barrett’s many Broadway credits include Annie Get Your Gun, Chicago, and Grand Hotel. Crivello won a Tony Award for his performance in Kiss of the Spider Woman; he also starred on Broadway in Les Misérables and Marie Christine.
