Abraham, Bosco, Easton, Leibman Will Participate in CSC’s Monday Night Lear Series

Tony Award winners Philp Bosco, Richard Easton, and Ron Leibman will participate along with Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham in Classic Stage Company’s Monday Night Lear series, in which they will each work through a different act of Shakespeare’s King Lear. Bosco will perform on April 17, Leibman on May 1, Easton on May 8, and Abraham on May 15.

Bosco most recently appeared on Broadway as Grandpa Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; among his dozens of other Broadway credits are Twelve Angry Men, Copenhagen, The Heiress, An Inspector Calls, and Lend Me a Tenor (for which he won his Tony). Easton, who may now be seen Off-Broadway in Entertaining Mr. Sloane, won a Tony in 2001 for The Invention of Love, while Leibman won in 1993 for his performance as Roy Cohn in Angels in America: Millennium Approaches. Abraham, who won the Oscar for his work as Salieri in Amadeus, also played Cohn in both parts of Angels in America as Leibman’s replacement; he has since appeared on Broadway in A Month in the Country and Triumph of Love.

Tickets for each reading in the Monday Night Lear series are $25. To purchase tickets, call 212-279-4200 or visit the CSC box office at 136 East 13th Street.
