Paper Mill Playhouse Announces 2005-2006 Season

The Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey has announced the five shows that will constitute its 2005-2006 season.

First up will be Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, directed by Gabriel Barre, scheduled to run from October 19 through December 4. The Frances Goodrich-Albert Hackett drama The Diary of Anne Frank, in a new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, will play January 18-February 26 in a production directed by Carolyn Cantor. The Bob Merrill-Michael Stewart musical Carnival, directed by Erica Schmidt, will run March 8-April 9. William Shakespeare’s classic comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be presented April 19-May 21 in a production directed by Tina Landau, with live music by GrooveLily. The Jerry Herman-Michael Stewart crowd-pleaser Hello, Dolly! will close the season with a June 7-July 23 run in a production directed by Mark S. Hoebee.
