Broadway stars Kerry Butler, Marc Kudisch, and Christiane Noll are among the cast members who have just been announced for the next installment in the "Broadway by the Year" series of concerts, The Broadway Musicals of 1945, to be held at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) on Monday, April 4 at 8pm.
They will be joined by Noah Racey, Karen Mason, Eddie Korbich, and Nightlife Award winner Scott Ailing in saluting the musicals of 1945, which include the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic Carousel, Lerner and Loewe's The Day Before Spring, Kurt Weill and Ira Gershwin's The Firebrand of Florence, Sigmund Romberg and Dorothy Fields' Up in Central Park, Morton Gould and Comden & Green's Billion Dollar Baby, and George Marion, Jr. and Emmerich Kalman's Marinka.
The concert will be hosted by the series' creator, TheaterMania's Scott Siegel. It will be directed by Gabriel Barre, with musical direction by Ross Patterson, who will conduct The Ross Patterson Little Big Band.
