Julie Wilson to Inaugurate The Hideaway Room on April 2

Cabaret legend Julie Wilson will open Manhattan’s newest cabaret venue, The Hideaway Room @ Helen’s (169 Eighth Avenue between 18th and 19th streets), with a new act titled I’m Still Here. The show will play from Friday, April 2 through Sunday, April 4 at 8pm.

Helen’s Restaurant, Cabaret & Piano Lounge is located on the site formerly occupied by Judy’s Chelsea, which closed in March 2003. The cabaret space on site has been redecorated and expanded to seat 70. A list of upcoming events and performances at The Hideaway Room @ Helen’s will be released soon.

Wilson will commemorate her 65th year in show business with her show at The Hideaway Room, and this will be her only New York engagement before she celebrates her 80th birthday with a gala performance in the fall.
