Jason Raize Memorial Set for April 8 at New Amsterdam

A memorial service to celebrate the life of actor Jason Raize will be held at the New Amsterdam Theatre (214 West 42nd Street) on Thursday, April 8, beginning at 4:30pm.

The service will be open to the public. Details of the program, including those scheduled to speak, will be announced at a later date.

Raize was best known for his performance in the title role of the adult Simba in Disney's Broadway production of The Lion King, which continues to play at the New Amsterdam. As previously reported by TheaterMania, Raize committed suicide in Yass, Australia in early February.
