E.S.T. Sheds Light on Copenhagen
12:30pm to 2:30pm: “Scientific Perspectives” will include a technical exploration geared towards those with a knowledge of physics. Speakers include Brian Greene, physicist and acclaimed author of The Elegant Universe.
3:00 to 5:00 PM: “Historical Perspectives” includes a broad-based and accesible presentation and analysis of the scientific and historical events of the era in which the play takes place, including the reasons why the Germans did not achieve the atomic bomb. Speakers include nobel laureate physicists Hans Bethe and John Wheeler and renowned scientific and historical writer David Cassidy.
7:30 to 9:00 PM: “Theatrical Perspectives” includes a relaxed discussion with Frayn and Blakemore, moderated by Dorian Devins, who is the host of the science-based radio interview program The Green Room on WFMU.
