Cast members of the original off-Broadway production of Yank!, with book and lyrics by David Zellnik and music by Joe Zellnik, will celebrate the official release of the cast recording on February 24 at The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peter's Church.

The celebration will be held onstage at Saint Peter's, where Yank! received its world premiere in 2010. Guests will include Joe Zellnik and David Zellnik as well as cast members Bobby Steggert, Jeffry Denman, Tally Sessions, Zak Edwards, and Christopher Ruth. The creative team includes orchestrator Jonathan Tunick. James Morgan, the York Theatre's producing artistic director, will also be on hand. The recording is produced by PS Classics.

Yank! follows the love story of Stu, a Midwestern boy who becomes a reporter for the Army magazine Yank, and a fellow soldier, Mitch. The World War II-era musical explores prejudice, courage, and survival long before the phrase "don't ask, don't tell" was part of the national discussion.

The 2010 premiere production was the recipient of Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Lucille Lortel nominations for Best Musical. The musical was revised after its initial run, with three songs added and new orchestrations provided by Jonathan Tunick.
