Love N' Courage, Theater for the New City's 11th annual benefit event for its Emerging Playwrights Program, is scheduled for February 24 at the National Arts Club. Tony winner Liliane Montevecchi heads the lineup of theater artists who will pay tribute to the evening's honoree, theater critic Mario Fratti.

In addition to Montevecchi, the benefit will feature appearances Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham, two-time Tony winner Tammy Grimes accompanied by Alex Rybeck, singer Anna Bergman accompanied by William Hicks, Austin Pendleton, Katharine Cullison, cabaret star KT Sullivan, Inma Heredia, Human Kinetics Movement Arts, Rachel Klein Dance Company, and more.

In addition, Mario Fratti's new five-minute play, Poet, will receive its world premiere at the event. There will also be performances of musical selections from Nine.

Fratti's adaptation of the Federico Fellini film became the Broadway musical Nine, the show for which Montevecchi won both a Tony and a Drama Desk Award.

Theater for the New City is a long-running organization whose mission is to offer encouragement to new artists through its Emerging Playwrights Program. TNC produces 30-40 premieres of American plays each year, at least 10 of which are by new, young playwrights.
