Julia Murney, Kate Wetherhead, and More to Join Murder for Two's Jeff Blumenkrantz in Performing His Month Upon a Time

Michael McElroy and Kenita Miller will complete the cast of the song cycle’s world premiere.

Tony-nominated composer and actor Jeff Blumenkrantz (Murder for Two) will present the world premiere performance of his song cycle Month Upon a Time on February 12 at 54 Below.

The new work features 12 songs, each related to a different month of the year, with topics ranging from Burning Man to Wedding Season. The evening will feature performances by Blumenkrantz as well as Michael McElroy (Violet), Kenita Miller (Xanadu), Julia Murney (Wicked), and Kate Wetherhead (Legally Blonde). Tedd Firth will lead a five-piece band, and orchestrations will be by Josh Freilich.

Jeff Blumenkrantz received a Tony nomination for his work as one of the cowriters of the score of Urban Cowboy. As an actor, Jeff most recently appeared as "The Suspects" in off-Broadway's Murder for Two. He will resume on March 17 after playing The Beadle in the upcoming NY Philharmonic concert of Sweeney Todd. Broadway credits include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and A Class Act.
