Judith Ivey, Jayne Houdyshell, and Mark Wing-Davey to Be Featured in Freeman Studio Panels and Talks

The Freeman Studio has announced the upcoming events planned in its series of free industry panels and talks, with participants including actresses Judith Ivey and Jayne Houdyshell, and theater artist Mark Wing-Davey, the chair of Graduate Acting at New York University. The Freeman is a Tribeca-based acting studio led by Scott Freeman.
On February 22, Mark Wing-Davey will give a talk entitled "Being Me, Being You: Acting, Neuroscience & the Audience." Wing-Davey will address the idea that the chemistry between an audience and performer (and between performers) has neural manifestations and dynamics.
On March 2, New York Theatre Workshop casting director Jack Doulin and Scott Freeman will moderate a special panel featuring actors Judith Ivey and Jayne Houdyshell. This is the third in a series called "Acting Aloud", in which Doulin and Freeman discuss the ideas, values, and techniques of a range theater professionals.
In addition, on February 22 composer Craig Carnelia will lead "Acting the Song," and on March 1 Amanda Quaid will offer an intensive dialect workshops, this one focusing on Irish. These "Saturday Specials" workshops are $10 and $20, respectively, and are open to all actors.
