Primary Stages' 20th anniversary revival of David Ives' All in the Timing opened off-Broadway on Tuesday, February 12. Following the performance, the cast, creative team, and guests headed from 59E59 to the Volstead on 54th Street to celebrate.

Directed by Tony Award winner John Rando (A Christmas Story), the production stars Eric Clem (Blue Man Group), Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher), Jenn Harris (Silence! The Musical), Liv Rooth (Venus in Fur), and Matthew Saldivar (Peter and the Starcatcher). The design team includes Beowulf Boritt (scenic design), Anita Yavich (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design), and Ryan Rumery (original music/sound design).

All in the Timing is a collection of six one-act plays about love, longing, and language. Included in the 95-minute show are the playlets Sure Thing, Words, Words, Words, The Universal Language, Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread, The Philadelphia, and Variations on the Death of Trotsky. Primary Stages produced the original 1993 production, for which Ives received the John Gassner Award for Playwriting.

Guests at the opening night performance included Tony Award winners Walter Bobbie (Venus in Fur) and Tyne Daly (Gypsy), Tony nominee David Garrison (Silence! The Musical), director Carl Andress (The Divine Sister), actors Heidi Armbruster (Disgraced), Kelly AuCoin (The Call) and Kelley Rae O'Donnell (The Atmosphere of Memory), and original All in the Timing cast members Robert Stanton and Wendy Lawless.
