David Henry Hwang's The Dance and the Railroad Celebrates Opening

Signature Theatre Company's newest revival opens off-Broadway.

Signature's production of David Henry Hwang's The Dance and the Railroad opened at the Pershing Square Signature Center off-Broadway on Monday, February 25.

Directed by May Adrales, The Dance and the Railroad's two person cast stars Yueken Wu and Ruy Iskandar. On a California mountaintop in 1867 near the Transcontinental Railroad, two Chinese workers struggle through poverty and hunger to reconnect with the traditions of their homeland.

The creative team includes Mimi Lien (scenic design), Jennifer Moeller (costume design), Jiyoun Chang (lighting design), Broken Chord (sound design), and Huang Ruo (music).

Guests at the opening included Tony nominee Colman Domingo (who starred the Signature production of Blood Knot) and original composer Lucia Hwong Gordon.
