Disney Theatrical Productions has announced the song list for the upcoming Broadway production of Newsies, to play a limited engagement at the Nederlander Theatre, March 15-June 10, with an opening on March 29.

The score will feature the best-loved songs from the film — many with new lyrics, counterpoints and arrangements to suit new plot points and the more fully fleshed out characterizations — and six songs added for the stage. The show features music by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Jack Feldman and a book by Harvey Fierstein.

Three of the songs — “The Bottom Line,” “That’s Rich,” and “Something to Believe In” — are brand new for the Broadway production. “Don’t Come A-Knocking,” “Watch What Happens,” and “Brooklyn’s Here” — which debuted at the musical’s premiere outing at Paper Mill Playhouse last year — are also being featured on Broadway.

Songs that have been cut since the Paper Mill run are “The News is Getting Better” and “Then I See You Again.”

Tunes from the film that are included in the show are “Santa Fe,” “Carrying the Banner,” “The World Will Know,” “Seize the Day,” “King of New York,” and “Once and For All,” along with various reprises of several of the songs.

Jeff Calhoun directs the Broadway production, with choreography by Christopher Gattelli. The show will feature Jeremy Jordan as Jack Kelly, John Dossett as Joseph Pulitzer, Kara Lindsay as Katherine Plumber, Capathia Jenkins as Medda, Ben Fankhauser as Davey, Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Crutchie, and Lewis Grosso and Matthew Schechter alternating the role of Les.

The ensemble will feature Aaron J. Albano, Mark Aldrich, Tommy Bracco, John E. Brady, Ryan Breslin, Kevin Carolan, Caitlyn Caughell, Kyle Coffman, Mike Faist, Michael Fatica, Julie Foldesi, Garett Hawe, Thayne Jasperson, Evan Kasprzak, Jess Le Protto, Stuart Marland, Andy Richardson, Jack Scott, Ryan Steele, Brendon Stimson, Nick Sullivan, Ephraim Sykes, Laurie Veldheer, Alex Wong and Stuart Zagnit.
