Signature’s Hurt Village Extends Off-Broadway Through March 25

The Signature Theatre Company’s world premiere of Katori Hall’s Hurt Village has announced a one-week extension, and will now play through March 25. Patricia McGregor has directed.

The play focuses on a teenage girl, her mother and great-grandmother as they prepare to move out of a housing project in Memphis, Tennessee thanks to a government grant and find that their plans are disrupted by the unexpected return of the girls’ father form a tour of duty in Iraq.

The company features Marsha Stephanie Blake, Nicholas Christopher, Corey Hawkins, Charlie Hudson III, Ron Cephas Jones, Joaquina Kalukango, Tonya Pinkins, Saycon Sengbloh, and Lloyd Watts.
