Broadway veteran Seth Numrich, who stars in writer/director Alan Brown’s new film Private Romeo, was on hand for the movie’s premiere at the Cinema Village on Friday, February 10.

The film is a contemporary rendering of William Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet set entirely at a high school military academy, with the “forbidden love” element of the original updated so that the star-crossed young lovers are both male and soldiers-in-training.

Numrich, who plays Romeo, starred in the Broadway production of War Horse, and is currently appearing Off-Broadway in Yosemite at Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre.

The film also features fellow Broadway veteran Matt Doyle as Juliet, along with Hale Appleman, Charlie Barnett, Adam Barrie, Chris Bresky, Sean Hudock and Bobby Moreno.
