The company of Dan LeFranc’s play The Big Meal met the press on Tuesday, February 7, prior to the start of rehearsals at Playwrights Horizons. Sam Gold directs the production, which will play the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, March 1-April 8 with an opening on March 21.
The play, set in a restaurant, spans eighty years through five generations of a modern American family. The cast features David Wilson Barnes, Griffin Birney, Tom Bloom, Anita Gillette, Jennifer Mudge, Rachel Resheff, Cameron Scoggins, and Phoebe Strole.
