Newsies Parody Newsadoozies to Premiere at UCB in March

Newsadoozies: A Man-Eating Musical, a new musical comedy one-act will debut at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre at 8pm on Monday, March 12, with an encore performance on Monday, March 19 at 8pm.

Newsadoozies is a new musical parodying cult movie/Broadway show Newsies. It chronicles the news boys of New York City in their adventures of selling newspapers, finding love, and getting eaten by the members of an ancient evil cannibalistic sex cult.

The cast includes Brian Glidewell, Megan Maes , Katie Schorr, Kevin Michael Murray , Aaron Jackson, Dan Hodapp, and Stephanie Streisand. Brian Glidewell and Marcy Jarreau wrote the book and lyrics and Kevin Carter contributed music and additional lyrics. Christopher Gladysz directs.
