Stage directors Mark Brokaw and Michael Grandage will participate in a special program and reception co-hosted by The BritArts Committee of The St. George’s Society of New York and the Drama Desk at the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Center, on Monday, February 13 from 6pm to 8pm.

The event will include introductions by Drama Desk Board Member Elysa Gardner, and Gavin Henderson CBE, Principal, Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London.

Brokaw will be directing the new, first-ever Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, projected to open during the 2012-1013 Broadway season. Previous Broadway credits include Cry Baby, The Constant Wife, Reckless, and After Miss Julie.

Grandage is directing this season’s Broadway revival of Evita. He recently completed a ten year stint as artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse, where he helmed the original productions of Red and Frost/Nixon, both of which subsequently came to Broadway.
