Full cast and creative team have been announced for Playwrights Horizons’ production of Dan LeFranc’s The Big Meal, to run March 1-April 8 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater. The production, which will open officially on March 21, will be directed by Sam Gold.

The show is set in a typical suburban restaurant, where the meeting of Sam and Nicole leads to an expansive tale that traverses five generations of a modern family, from first kiss to final goodbye.

The cast will feature David Wilson Barnes, Griffin Birney, Tom Bloom, Anita Gillette, Jennifer Mudge, Rachel Resheff, Cameron Scoggins, and Phoebe Strole.

The production will feature scenic and costume design by David Zinn, lighting design by Mark Barton, and sound design by Leah Gelpe.

LeFranc is best known for his play Sixty Miles to Silver Lake. Gold is currently represented by the Broadway production of Seminar and the Off-Broadway production of Look Back in Anger. He previously directed the Playwrights Horizons’ production of Circle Mirror Transformation.
