Actor Philp Bruns has died at 80, according to reports.

He performed on Broadway in The Deputy, King Henry V, Blood Red Roses, and Lysistrata, and appeared on numerous television series and movies including Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Barney Miller, Sanford and Sons, A Thousand Clowns, My Favorite Year, and Love Bites.

He is survived by his wife, actress Laurie Franks.
