VIDEO FLASH: Beth Leavel Previews Broadway’s Baby It’s You

The producers of the upcoming Broadway musical Baby It’s You have a released a first look at the show, which features an interview with the show’s star Beth Leavel.

Conceived by Floyd Mutrux, written by Mutrux and Colin Escott, and directed by Mutrux and Sheldon Epps, the show will begin previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on March 26 in anticipation of an official opening on April 27.

Baby It’s You tells the story of Florence Greenberg (Leavel), the woman who discovered The Shirelles and created Scepter Records, becoming the music industry’s first female powerhouse. The production will feature doo-wop, pop and rock ‘n’ roll classics such as “Dedicated To The One I Love,” “Duke Of Earl,” “He’s So Fine,” “I Say A Little Prayer,” “It’s My Party,” “Louie Louie,” “Mama Said,” “Shout,” “Sixteen Candles,” “Stop In The Name Of Love,” ‘Twist and Shout” and more.
