Tony Award Nominee David Rockwell Wins Art Directors Guild Award

Architect and set designer David Rockwell was among the winners of the Art Directors Guild Awards, which were held in Beverly Hills on Saturday, February 5. Rockwell won for his work in designing the 82nd annual Academy Awards.

Other winners include Eve Stewart (The King’s Speech), Guy Hendrix Dyas (Inception), Therese DePrez (Black Swan), Dan Bishop (Mad Men), Richard Berg (Modern Family), Robb Wilson King (Secrets in the Walls, and Keith Raywood, Eugene Lee, Akira Yoshimura and N. Joseph DeTullio (Saturday Night Live).

Rockwell will be represented on Broadway this spring by Catch Me If Your Can. His many other stage credits include Hairspray, for which he received a Tony Award nomination, as well as ,Elf, A Free Man of Color, Legally Blonde, All Shook Up, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He won the Emmy Award for his work on the Academy Awards.
