Marc Kudisch’s The Lower Depths: In Defense of the Baritone Voice Concert Canceled Again

Three-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch‘s one-man show, entitled The Lower Depths: In Defense of the Baritone Voice, has been canceled a second time, and will not perform on Monday, February 14 as previously reported.

The show was to be a benefit for The Actors Fund at New World Stages, but the organization has released a statement announcing the event’s cancellation, citing “an unforeseen scheduling conflict.”

The Lower Depths, Kudisch’s humorous look at the history of the Baritone voice, was previously scheduled to play Town Hall on January 15, but was postponed due to what press notes described as “unexpected circumstances related to the recent blizzard that crippled New York.”

Kudisch received Tony nominations for Thoroughly Modern Millie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and 9 to 5. Additional Broadway credits include Assassins, The Apple Tree, Bells Are Ringing, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Beauty and the Beast.
