Lineup for the cell’s See-Saw Solo Festival Announced

Jeremy Lawrence’s A Lonely Man’s Habit and Bob Jaffe’s …And Then You Go On, An Anthology of The Works of Samuel Beckett will be performed in repertory as part of the See-Saw Solo Festival, to be offered at the cell, running March 23 – April 16.

Lawrence’s play, directed by Jim Gaylord, is a portrait of Tennessee Williams as the famed playwright revisits his past through his notebooks. Developed from Williams’ writings, the piece will run at the Festival from March 30 – April 3 and April 13-14.

Jaffe’s solo work draws from 13 of Beckett’s works and in it he plays a single, composite character, who finds hope and connection in the face of despair. The production, directed by Peter Wallace, will play at the Festival March 23-27 and April 6-10.

The See-Saw Solo Festival will also feature Jason Odell Williams and Diana Basmajian’s Simply Complicated: The Elegant Escapades of a Danish-Israeli Opera Singing Tank Commander (March 18-19), to be directed by Kira Simring.
