Jared Mason will take over the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in the Broadway production of Million Dollar Quartet at the Nederlander Theatre, beginning with the Tuesday, March 15 performance. Levi Kreis, who won a Tony Award for originating the part, will play his final performance on March 13.

Million Dollar Quartet was inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley — along with Sam Phillips, founder of Sun Records. Eric Schaeffer has directed the production.

Mason is currently playing the role of Carl Perkins in the musical. He is an original Broadway cast member of Million Dollar Quartet, having understudied the roles of Lewis and Perkins. In addition, he is an award-winning instrumentalist and composer and has appeared in national and international tours of Stomp.
