Dan Sharkey Joins Off-Broadway’s The Fantasticks

Dan Sharkey joins the cast of the Off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks, at the Snapple Theatre Center, beginning with tonight’s performance, Monday, February 28. He replaces Gene Jones in the role of Hucklebee.

The Fantasticks, with music by Harvey Schmidt and book, lyrics and direction by Tom Jones, focuses on a boy and girl who fall in and out of love at the hands of their meddling fathers.

The company also includes Bill Bateman, Matt Dengler, MacIntyre Dixon, Tom Flagg, Matt Leisy, Anne Markt, Michael Nostrand, Juliette Trafton, Edward Watts, and Charles West.

This marks Sharkey’s fifth appearance in a production of The Fantasticks. Broadway credits include The Music Man and Show Boat. National touring credits include Keith Carradine’s stand-by for the title role in The Will Rogers Follies, The Sound of Music, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Grand Hotel.
