Casting Announced for May 7 Every Good Boy Deserves Favour Performance at Carnegie Hall

Andre Previn and Tom Stoppard’s Every Good Boy Deserves Favour will be presented as part of the Spring for Music Festival, to run May 6-14 at Carnegie Hall. Directed by Cornel Gabara, the piece will be on a bill presented by the Toledo Symphony, which will also include Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 6.

Every Good Boy Deserves Favour focuses on a dissident who has been confined to a mental hospital and who must share a cell with a schizophrenic. The company will feature Pete Cross (Alexander), David de Christopher (Ivanov), Yazan “Zack” Safadi (Sasha), Kevin Hayes (Colonel), Benjamin Pryor (Doctor) and Pamela Tomasetti (Teacher).

Other groups that are scheduled to appear at the festival, which showcases North American symphony and chamber orchestras, are the Albany Symphony, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Oregon Symphony, and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.
